Made on various wooden boards intended for use in construction, they have been sanded down, drilled together, and repurposed. This piece was painted in front of a live audience, and fittingly so. I created this piece with the intention of evoking a sense of confidence and openness. Every part is in full display, no need to hide or filter who they are. The foliage framing the piece accentuates this sense of naturalism.
There’s an element of raw vulnerability throughout, but also an undeniable strength.
